Solutions Engineer, Full Stack – Product Discovery

Your Role
As a Solutions Engineer, Full Stack – Product Discovery, you’ll operate at the intersection of software engineering and customer collaboration. You will partner directly with growers, agronomists, and farm operators, leading discovery sessions, uncovering operational pain points, and rapidly iterating on proof-of-concept software solutions that create measurable impact.
This is a highly interactive, fast-moving, and customer-facing role where you will take concepts from initial customer conversations through prototype development to early product deployment, bridging the gap between field needs and scalable engineering solutions.
Your Responsibilities
- Conduct customer discovery with customers (growers, agronomists, and farm operators) to deeply understand their workflows, pain points, and goals
- Design and build early-stage software prototypes, from frontend tools and visualizations to backend systems and data pipelines
- Prototyping fast, validating with real data, and iterating quickly to surface customer value
- Engage directly with customers to understand workflows, pain points, and goals
- Lead technical discovery sessions to gather requirements, surface insights, and co-create potential solutions
- Design, build, and iterate full stack prototypes—frontend tools, dashboards, and backend systems—that validate value quickly
- Translate customer feedback into technical specifications and iterate on solutions based on real-world usage
- Laying the groundwork for a scalable long-term product: including architecture, data handling, and UX flows
- Partner with product, design, and engineering teams to guide the long-term roadmap
Needed Skills & Experience
- Proven consultative experience working directly with customers or stakeholders in a technical capacity (Solutions Engineer, Technical Account Manager, Business Analyst, or similar)
- 5+ years of experience as a software engineer (full stack strongly preferred)
- Ability to translate complex customer needs into product requirements and iterate solutions quickly
- Experience building and shipping early-stage prototypes independently
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills; comfortable navigating ambiguity
- Experience working with real-world datasets, building dashboards, and integrating analytics
- Excellent communication and presentation skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
- Willingness and ability to travel extensively, including internationally (must be able to obtain necessary documentation)
Necessary Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in software engineering or a closely related engineering field.
