Product Assurance Engineer

What you're responsible for

• Conduct customer-facing technical demonstrations and train and support customers during hardware and software integrations
• Lead flight test planning, flight readiness reviews, flight briefs/debriefs, and post-flight analysis
• Lead in all documentation regarding flight and testing
• Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices, laws, regulations, and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the company
• Prepare, drive, and maintain cleanliness on our vehicle to various destinations
• Mentor, manage, and lead  other pilots on the team
• Support engineers’ testing goals and technically contribute to product qualification test procedures and performance analysis
• Manage and maintain KEF’s testing aircraft fleet, interface with hardware engineers to schedule repairs and upgrades
• Improve the efficiency, safety, and efficacy of flight tests across KEF’s fleet of multirotors, VTOLs, fixed-wing, and customer aircraft.

What we are looking for

• Empathetic and collaborative team player
• Experience with operating UAVs and other experimental drone platforms
• Experience with product testing and hardware development
• Exceptional interpersonal skills
• Incredible attention to detail
• Part 107 licensed
• Experience flying multirotors manually

Bonus Skills

• Experience with scripting and developing automation tooling
• Experience with 3D printing and drone assembly and maintenance
• Experience with Jira
• Clear, concise technical writing skills
• Ability to operate a small bus or van
